In the Sakpa community, 30-year-old Godfred Dang was once deeply entrenched in a life of idol worship alongside his brothers. Their lives were marked by the “social deviances” common in their area, until a visit from COF missionaries changed everything.
Initially, it was Godfred’s brothers who opened their hearts to the Gospel. Through COF missionaries’ outreach and the daily use of Audio Bibles, the Holy Spirit began a visible work of transformation in their lives. For a long time, Godfred watched from the sidelines, observing the “righteous hand of God” as his brothers walked away from their old habits and embraced a new way of living.
In December 2022, moved by the undeniable change in his family, Godfred made his own bold decision. He surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and voluntarily gave up his idols to be destroyed. Today, Godfred is a vibrant member of the Sakpa Church. He no longer hides his past; instead, he uses his story as a powerful tool for evangelism, openly testifying to the goodness of Christ and leading others in his community to the same life-changing faith.
