In the Sakpa community of Bole, Northern Ghana, 45-year-old Sikanti Nuntoma was once known for her devotion to idol worship and her struggle with severe alcoholism. Her life took a turn when she met Isaac, the local fellowship leader, who introduced her to the Power of the Word through the Audio Bible.

Isaac did not simply visit her once; he committed to a journey of discipleship. During each visit, he played the Audio Bible for her, followed by careful explanations of the scriptures. He gently but firmly counseled Sikanti to choose the path of God and let go of the “unworthy things” that held her captive.

Through the power of the Holy Spirit and the constant hearing of the Word, Sikanti’s heart was softened. She eventually made the radical decision to repent and accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. To demonstrate her complete break from the past, Sikanti brought out all her idols to be burned. Today, she has quit drinking and lives a sober, renewed life as a faithful member of the Sakpa fellowship, enjoying the peace that only Christ can provide.
